We are currently offering online counseling as well as face to face counseling services. For new and returning clients, you will be asked to complete intake paperwork online prior to your appointment. The intake can be found on your MyCampus log in page, under . Once intake paperwork is completed, you will be contacted to be scheduled for an appointment. Appointments will be scheduled within a few days of the request, depending on counselors’ and students’ schedules. If requesting online services, you will receive an email with instructions about how to complete an online informed consent that provides information about teletherapy services. Personal Counseling Clinical counseling services are available only to currently enrolled UMHB students who find themselves in need of assistance with a wide variety of difficulties ranging from decision-making to personal awareness and understanding. Counseling services are offered on a short-term basis by appointment only. When appropriate, referrals are made to mental health providers in the local area. Students can be assured they are receiving top-quality, professional counseling in a completely confidential setting. Cost or Fees: Free to currently enrolled UMHB students Scope of Services Request Appointment Request an appointment by coming to the office in the Mabee Student Success Center (third floor). Office is open Monday-Friday from 8am-12pm and 1-5pm (summer closes at 4pm). New clients must request an appointment in person to complete necessary forms. Returning clients may request an appointment by calling (254) 295-4696 if seen the previous semester otherwise new forms will need to be completed. Online Mental Health Screenings These confidential and free screenings are provided so that you may find out in a few minutes whether or not further professional consultation would be helpful to you.
